In some cases, what organizations really need is to get data off paper as quickly and accurately as possible. Often it is human input, in the form of handwritten text, numbers or check marks and signatures.
Response documents, such as feedback survey forms, election results or census forms, contain critical information. Different hardware often delivers a range of varying results. When the form template setup is based on the computer image created in the form design software, copies that are provided by printers or faxes will most likely not provide a perfect match.
